Featured Project - Morrill Public Library Hiawatha, Kansas

The Morrill Public Library, located in Hiawatha, Kansas, needed some light-weight imitation slate tiles that would match existing clay tiles. The tiles needed to match as closely as possible, as part of the roof would remain intact. High-end contractor, M&M Roofing, loving the challenge, brought the library's board a 3 color custom blend created by DaVinci Roofscapes (based off DaVinci’s 6 color terra cotta custom blend). The library’s board approved this 66 square job with the custom color blend. The material matched perfectly.  In fact, one of the board members was out of town while the work was being done, and when he returned he asked when the roofing work would start!

Wow, DaVinci Slate looks fantastic in red. It looks like it is a variation of red tiles. Is that a custom blend that you guys created?

Yes we created a variation of this blend back in 2005 for a building on Long Island. The colors have stuck around because people have shown interst in them since then. We can do any variation of this blend without the upcharge for creating a new color!

Megan, I am currently evaluating the DaVinci slates and am very interested in this color pattern for a Victorian house. And it's particularly great without an upcharge. I currently have a red asphalt roof, so this would be an excellent upgrade. Can you send me more details? What is the extent of the blend in the six colors. Do you have pictures or can you send to me samples of the tiles? Dan Buriak 194 Stockton Street Hightstown, NJ 08520 And please confirm that the charge would be the same charge as any of the other blends such as vineyard et al. Many thanks!
