Some roofs are pretty simple, but some are full of hips, valleys, and dramatic pitch changes. This week's featured project is of the complicated variety, and Twin Metals, out of Billerica, MA, was kind enough to send some aerial photos of a project that they completed last fall in Winchester.
For this roof, the homeowner's chose DaVinci Roofscapes' Multi-Width Slate polymer roof tiles for the field tiles, but accented the roof with copper hips, ridges, and valleys. I also notice their use of copper snow guards, which is something we always recommend in areas where snow fall is possible. In my opinion, the aerial shot gives the best view.

Snow guards should be considered in all geographic areas where accumulating snow fall is possible.
