Floridian Tornado Seasons

DaVinci SlateIf you've lived in Florida for years or have just recently moved there, you may or may not know that Florida has two tornado seasons.

The Summer Season - which lasts from June to September and includes tornadoes that form from tropical cyclones.

The Deadly Spring Season -
lasts from February through April and tornadoes are formed more powerfully because of the presence of the jet stream.

The spring season is the most dangerous because the jet stream's high level winds often strengthen a thunderstorm into a super-cell or mesocyclone. These  storms can move at speeds of 30 to 50 mph - even worse, they produce dangerous down burst winds, large hail and the most deadly tornadoes.

But when it comes to your roof, there is no need to worry because our Bellaforté slate alternative has passed hurricane zone force wind up to 175 MPH through TAS 125.  Moreover, it has the highest impact rating that a roofing tile can have - therefore making it resistant to hail damage with its Class 4 impact rating.
