Best Roofing is one of the roofing contractors that is installing a lot of our Bellaforté plastic slate roof tiles. Since it is relatively new to the market, we asked them for an interview about our lightweight tiles.
How'd you first discover DaVinci's Bellaforté?
Best Roofing is a longtime contractor, and our DaVinci sales representative brought the product to our attention as a possible alternative to tile roofing systems.
What do you like about DaVinci's Bellaforté? Color blends? Shape of tiles? Performance?
Performance is key- especially in South Florida where we experience extreme weather conditions – from scorching heat to heavy flooding. As a commercial roofing contractor, we need to represent and install roofing systems that are impact resistant and can withstand high heat and hurricane force winds. The DaVinci Bellaforté product is code approved with Miami-Dade County and can withstand a hurricane zone force wind up to 175 MPH. Another key performance factor is the product is virtually maintenance free, Bellaforté tiles do not show signs of mildew or fade under the intense sun of South Florida.
Best Roofing is committed to providing sustainable roofing solutions for our clients and the DaVinci Bellaforté product is roofing product that assists us with that goal. The product is environmentally sound, and in South Florida we offer our clients custom blend “cool” colors that fit our architecture.
What's the biggest thing that homeowners say to you about DaVinci's Bellaforté?
Two words: maintenance free!
Why do you like DaVinci?
As a roofing contractor the product is very easy to install- thereby reducing our labor costs. The self-aligning feature and snap fit reduces our installation time and assures every installation is consistent. From our company’s global view, DaVinci shares one of our core values – of shrinking our carbon footprint. Bellaforté tiles come with a 50 year limited warranty, and even when tiles are replaced they are recycled back at the DaVinci factory. The cool color blends reduce cooling usage, which is a primary concern in South Florida.
What other DaVinci products have you worked with?
Slate and Shake systems
What other roofing products do you install?
We are a Master Select Contractor with GAF, as well as an approved applicator for many roofing manufacturers.
How long have you been in the roofing business?
Best Roofing is celebrating our 35th year in the commercial roofing business in South Florida
Do you have a favorite DaVinci job? In other words, a favorite house or building where you installed DaVinci? Why is it your favorite?
The President & CEO of Best Roofing, Gregg Wallick, chose the DaVinci Slate when he needed to replace the roof on his home after Hurricane Wilma. I don’t think you can have a better testimonial to the product then having the CEO of one of the most respected roofing companies in Florida choosing DaVinci for his residence.
