Straight Or Staggered? That Is The Question.

No matter if you are ordering DaVinci's slate alternative or our synthetic cedar shake, you will definitely want to know the difference between straight or staggered.

Straight - the exposure of each slate is kept consistent (see photo above for how a straight coursing looks)

Staggered Coursing - the exposure of the slate varies by a maximum of 1" on adjacent shingles (see photo below to see how a staggered coursing looks).

Each shingle has an alignment indicator that helps the roofer manage the exposure.
